My Story
Welcome! I'm Sylvester J. Banks, an author, poet, and fitness enthusiast. Through my writing, I hope to encourage others to find hope, healing, and strength no matter what challenges they face. My memoir, A Journey Beyond Grief, shares my personal journey through loss, faith, resilience, and healing with the hope that readers will discover they are never alone.
My passion for writing began many years ago through poetry. My work has been featured in Poetic Expressions from the Soul and Chorus of the Soul: The International Library of Poetry. In 2007, I was recognized as an Honored Recipient of the Poetry Gold Medal of Excellence at the Famous Poets Convention in Reno, Nevada. These experiences helped shape my voice as a writer and inspired me to continue sharing messages of hope, faith, perseverance, and encouragement through both poetry and writing.

My mission is to encourage others through writing, faith, resilience, and personal growth. Through my memoir ,poetry, and fitness journey. I hope to inspire people to keep moving forward with hope ,strength, and purpose
Fitness & Wellness
Fitness has become an important part of my journey. It has helped me build discipline, perseverance, and resilience while strengthening both my body and mind. Those same qualities also influence my writing and how I face life's challenges. I believe true strength comes from developing both the body and the mind.
